Mistake in the FotR??? Someone correct me if im wrong but in the movie scene "The Ring goes south" Gandalf says: 'We must hold this course west for 40 days till we reach the misty mountains' or something of the sort...but arent the misty mountains East of Rivendell? I have a feeling im wrong because I thought that someone would have spotted it earlier, but if i am wrong please tell me how! |

Your right the Misty Mountains are east of Rivendell maybe they did make a mistake. |

Maybe he means west of the misty mountains? |

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:<HR>'We must hold this course west for 40 days till we reach the misty mountains' <HR></BLOCKQUOTE><BR>The line is something about holding the course west of the Misty Mountains.<BR>I would have to watch it again to get the words exact, but they are going west OF the mountains not TO the mountains. I hope that helps!! |

It's definetly not "west to"...PJ wouldn't make such a fundamental mistake. I thought it was "we must hold this course west of the Misty Mountains for forty days 'til..."<P>I'll watch it, as i have nothing better to do right now. Stupid vacation. |

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:<HR> We must hold this course west of the Misty Mountains for forty days. Hopefully, the Gap of Rohan will still be open to us. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>There. No mistake. |
