TTT- the poll
There seem to be so many different views out here about TTT. Now rather than have a bunch of arguments and having us get mad at each other, I'll have a simple poll. Well, here are the rules:<P>You rate the movie on what you think from 0-10. 0 is the absolute worst, and ten is the best. Be honest. You can only vote once. When you vote, you just type the number and that's all. No messages or anything else as to avoid arguments and stuff like that. And no 20's or -10's or anything like that. No decimals or fractions besides 1/2 and .5, i.e. 3.7, or 6 and 2/3. Well, I changed it so now you can vote a number and a half. To make it clear, these are the only numbers you can pick- 0 - 0.5 - 1.5 - 2 - 2.5 - 3 - 3.5 - 4 - 4.5 - 5 - 5.5 - 6 - 6.5 - 7 - 7.5 - 8 - 8.5 - 9 - 9.5 - 10. As I said in my post further in this thread, sorry for any confusion or inconvenience.<P>I vote 8.<p>[ January 04, 2003: Message edited by: MLD-Grounds-Keeper-Willie ]

10 for me.

7, pretty good!
I agree with that elf in an Armani suit... 9, except for the revolting love scences. I wonder how the heck PJ got permission from Tolkien Enterprises to even do that!
10!!! i love it, there may be a few mistakes etc. but i think its great and could not be beaten. Peter Jackson has really made the book come alive.
11! <BR> <BR>The great battle sequences and special effects make up for those revolting love scenes! It was the best movie of all time!
10!!!!!
9!
10. FOTR was 10, and since I think TTT is better, but there's no 11, I have to say 10!
9.

8 <P>Are you going to to average this all out for us, Willie? Just curious.
I thought that the Fellowship were 10, I<BR>think that the Two Towers is a great movie<BR>and all, but it's not as good as the Fellowship,<BR>than I'll give the Two Towers about 8.5, 9..
The Fellowship was a 10. The Two Towers about a 6.<P>-Maril
Yeah Diamond, after a while I'll post an average. Well, I'll do one right now. Up to Marileangorifurnimaluim's post, The Two Towers stands at about 8.83 . Pretty good.<P>That average is assuming that dunedain_aragorn's vote was a 10 (not an 11- Nurumaiel got the picture), and that Armani_Elf's vote was a 9 overall. If I'm wrong, please tell me. Thanks for the votes everyone, and thanks for following the guidelines.
Sorry, I'm gonna have to use an 8.5 It was better than an eight, but assigning it a 9 seems too generous. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the movie, but that's just the mark that I feel it deserved overall.
Ok, maybe this is too general in having 0-10. Ok, now I'll allow 1/2's and .5's. So everyone please change their votes if you need to, then I'll bring the average up to date. So these are the numbers that you can pick- 0 - 0.5 - 1.5 - 2 - 2.5 - 3 - 3.5 - 4 - 4.5 - 5 - 5.5 - 6 - 6.5 - 7 - 7.5 - 8 - 8.5 - 9 - 9.5 - 10 . Well, I hope that's better. Sorry about any confusion or inconvenience.

8.<P>Overall it was very good, but there were some moments that I thought were pretty bad. (*coughArwencough*) The acting was superb, if anything it was better than the acting in Fellowship (the only thing that could've made it better was if Sean Bean could come back, but Boromir's dead and it would be weird if he took another part.) The scenery was incredible as always. The CGI was flawless, especially the Ringwraith's beasts. The cinematography was awesome. It was just a couple of changes...Faramir, the addition of Arwen's scenes, even, just a little, the extension of Helm's Deep (it got a little old the second time around)...those couple of scenes just irritated me. But I'm holding out for a hero...RotK will be wonderful, I'm counting on it.<P>~*~Orual~*~

10. I worship The Lord Of The Rings.<BR>---------------------------<BR>"That settles it! Short cuts make delays but inns make longer ones!" ~Frodo~<p>[ January 04, 2003: Message edited by: Sword Maiden Of The Shire ]

10. <P>When I think of all the dedication, studying, money, sweat, tears and BLOOD put into this, I can't help but feel inspired. It truly moves me when I think about how many people and how much energy was put into bringing these films to life - and even though they're not perfect, they work for me!<P>I'm a huge fan of the books as well as a huge fan of the films. I'm amazed and totally impressed with the outcome thus far!
Boy, I can only use halves so I give it a 8.5. Somethings were a little bit too much.
8.5<P>You should do the mode, median and range as well. Oooh, and Standard Deviation!<BR>(I didn't spend a boring 3 weeks doing Data Handling for nothing!)<P>The Standard Deviation now stands at...<BR>*fetches dusty calculator from long-forgotten schoolbag*<BR>...<B>1.03 (to 2d.p.)</B><P>Mean so far:<B>8.83</B><BR>Range: 10-6=easy! <B>4</B>

10, and I'm being completly honest! I sware! No one could ever do better making The Two Towers into a movie. And it is one of the few movies that is worth the 6 bucks to see it. Even more (not too much though!) It was truly entertaining and stayed with the books close enough. It had to be entertaining to a 21st century audience! And it was. I've seen it 4 times already. I do wish there was an eleven. Oh well. How about a 15? (tmporary smilie, mine aren't working!)<p>[ January 05, 2003: Message edited by: Durelin ]

9<P>(I don't give tens because there can always be a better movie...)
9 (Elves at Helms deep, lack of ents and mean Faramir)
9.<BR>I think I liked The FotR a little bit better... I'll need to watch TTT more to really choose.
8.5<P><BR>Some good and bad, mostly good (Sam's speeches at end! makes me cry)
Well in my opnion I would give it a 9 because of the war scenes just completely made up for everything else espeically Frodo and Sam not getting into Mordor, another good thing was the Easterlings they were just pain excellent.
I loved TTT, as well as FOTR. I give both movies a 9.5. Although, I have to say, I don't really consider them to be separate movies. They are more like part 1,2 3 of the one movie. I saw TTT as part of an all night movie marathon and they showed FOTR first, then TTT and 6 hours of LOTR was so awesome! I'm hoping that they will do the same next time with all 3 parts. I think Legolas is the King of Cool Moves!
i vote it a 10!! although if you didn't read the book it was probably a little hard to follow and confusing at times. I LOVED IT!!!
