Extended DVD
What are your favourite parts on the Extended Edition DVD? Mine, I have to say, are the Fellowship of the Cast, Cameras in Middle-earth, and the Cast Commentary. Muahahhahaa...****ylegs.
*snigger snigger* The cast commentary was great! *muffled laughter**TIG* I liked Fellowship of the Cast a lot too. You actually said my favorites, Horse-Maiden!
Yeah ditto!!!!!!!!! I also like the hidden feature of the original TT trailer.
oooooh, you just reminded me to go watch the rest of mine!!! YAY! I just got mine recently, and I've only watched the cast commentary so far. What is "fellowship of the cast"? I'll go watch it I guess, and find out.
Fellowship of the Cast is on the second disc of the Appendices. It's very, *very* funny.
<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:<HR> I also like the hidden feature of the original TT trailer. <HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>TT trailer, where?!<BR>:Runs franticly to get DVD:
Theres a post about this somewhere but I can't find it *lol* Here's what you do:<P>put in disc two<BR>go to scene selection<BR>go down to scene 48 (I think that's the last one...it's credits of some sort)<BR>then go back over to the chapters and go back down to scene 48 again and then press down. A silouette of two towers should appear.<BR>Click that and you're good to go!
I enjoyed the cast commentary immensely (I have always loved commentary) and the Fellowship of the Cast. I haven't seen much else that I remember that I thoroughly enjoyed as much as those two little items (though I was pleasantly surprised when I found the TTT preview)
Ooooh, thank you, Rochelle! That was quite lovely!!!
I didn't think I'd enjoy it, but the digital grading extra was really interesting. Seeing the graded and ungraded scenes next to each other was amazing. The Shire was greener, the mines were scarier, Lorien was more mysterious -- all due to tweaking the colors.<P>-Lily
You should see what they did for the movie <I>O Brother, Where Art Thou?</I>.
I got so mad when my friend and I couldn't find the TT trailer. So we spent the time watching the movie and pausing it at parts to draw on the screen with a washable marker. ....Legolas skinnydipping and Gimli's spider friend...hahaha.<BR>Thanks for showing me how!!! SOO MUCH!!!<BR>*huggles*
I loved Tig, and seeing the gift giving scene. "Oh look, we're getting gifts!"
Tig ahhh yes the infamous and made up game that i so dearly love lol and Cup!! lets not forget cup lol i love the bit in the commentary about billy and dom's idea when they were leaving Rivendell they suggested to PJ that they should hav elvish women weeping over Merry and Pip lol ahhhhh.... it brings a tear to muh eyebrow (?!)
TIG!!! LOL!!! I've spent hours on end playing tig!! Best game there is... Yep! That's my fav SE part.
Hey! <BR>I loved tig too, and fellowship of the cast when theyre talking about...um...was it..bk?<BR>'You like red wine? I like red wine!' 'Cook fish, open oven, bring pot!' He sounds SOOOO cool! And when theyre talking about sean being really saftey concious! And billys foot falling off! And Sean.B climbing the mountain! AND the commentary Billy and Dom saying they were the elves 'sugardaddies' and they got them pregnant! Dear me...the list goes on!
Billy wetting himself when the firework went off, "Get in car, get in car!", the bishwop! Can't forget the bishwop! Paranoid Sean A, and Ian's reaction to Elijah and Dom's music. Also on the Cameras in Middle-earth when Lurtz has a pink pom-pom on his head: "Now strike a pose and get with it." Oh, just about every aspect of those documentaries! "Dad, you jerk! It's mine, I'm an actress!"
I enjoyed all of the "extras", especially "The Fellowship of the Cast". However, the greatest thrill was seeing all the additional and extended scenes. Most of them were character or relationship building...but what a difference it made! I had thought it nothing short of criminal to leave the gift giving scene out of the theatre edition. To see it put back was wonderful....and helpful when watching TTT. Oh! So that's where Sam got that Elven rope!! The additional scenes on the River also helped to explain the hurt looks that Boromir kept shooting at Aragorn as they paddled....they'd had a fight, for goodness sake!<BR>As I have read the books, I knew what was going on. But I went to the cinema with someone who had not...he had a lot of questions answered when I made him watch the dvd!
I LOVE THE HIDDEN TT TRAILER! hehe... Pippin makes the stupidist face when he sees tree beard! And there are three Pippin shots, not one like the other trailer thingy. YAY! FARAMIR'S IN THERE TOO! ^_^
THE BISHWOP!!! Bk is the best!!! LOL he's the greatest!!! BTW, I can never find the hidden TT trailer. I've heard what to do a million times, I've done it a million times, and it hasn't worked a million times!!! It makes me so mad!! Can anyone help? Please?
Right, after you've watched the fan club credits let the DVD reset itself, then go back to the scene selection. Go to the page with scene 48 (fan club) and press done. I lil piccy of two towers appear. Clcik ok, or enter or whatever. PJ will then appear ^_^
I've never had to let the DVD "reset" itself. I've always been able to go straight to the main menu - go to scene selections - go to the fan club credits (but not watch them) - put the cursor on the bottom right number (I believe it's 48) and push down.<P>H.C.
You are right HC. I just watched it. You have to be on the numbers on the right hand side, not the chapter names in the middle, then you press down and you should see the little tower, then hit enter or select or whatever.
That's really neat. Thanks a lot! Not sure if i already put this...
I really like the weapon explanations, even if it wasn't as complete as I would have wished it.
