TTT in Hotels

I was at a hotel this weekend with my friend and we were looking through the list movies that you could order on the TV (ya know what I'm talking about right?) and one of the ones you could order was The Two Towers!!!! We were like.. OMG Thats sooo awesome!! But does anyone find it a little weird that hotels have copy of the TTT before its been released? Not that I have a probelm with it, but why do they get it before we do and why so far ahead of time... we have to wait till August.

Hmmm...where was this hotel? Maybe they managed to pay for the film rights, as in, it wasn't through the hotel that the film was shown, but some cable/sattelite company. Still doesn't make sense to me though. Was it the kind of hotel that would show pirate copies?

Awww... that's evil >.< where's this hotel then? *packs her bags pronto*

The hotel is named the Oasis and its in Mississippi, very nice place!!

Im not sure why they would have a copy of TTT. Did you order it and watch it? If you did there wasnt anything that would let you know it was a pirate was there?

I saw it on the list of movies when I went to my softball state tournament. We stayed at a Wingate Hotel in Raleigh, NC, and I kept watching the preview channel just to see the TTT preview over and over. I wasn't allowed to order it though, cause my school was paying for the hotel rooms.

I watched it at a Hilton in Pennsylvania last week. It wasn't nearly as good as seeing it on the big screen, especially since I turned the sound down to avoid keeping the neighbors awake...
-Lily

No, I didn't have any reason to believe it was a pirate copy of the movie.

The hotel is in Gulfport Mississippi!!

I stayed at a hotel about 3 months ago and it had TTT so I ordered it. The quality was terrible but it was the TTT so it was still great. I should have thought about what I was doing though because I had to get up early the next day and I didn't find that they had the movie till about 1 in the morning.

*Yavanna's packing her bags as she types*
I hope I'm not too late! I am going to go to a hotel right now!LOL Pirate or not! At least I don't have to wait to see it in August.

Luinadar 05-21-2003 09:26 AM

Yav, If you can't wait till then try downloading from Kazaa-lite/Morpheus etc, though I wouldn't recommend this if you use a modem...I downloaded a 4 part version of TTT back in feb off Kazaa and the quality is awesome

If we start discussing illegal things this thread wlll be closed, probably Anyhow, there are some copies that somehow got out, so the hotels could easily have one of them (I do too).
~Menelien

Hotels do this all the time, they always carry a lot of movies in the time between screen and video. In Vegas we watched "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" while it was still in the theaters, months before it came out on video.

skadork 05-21-2003 09:40 PM

Well, I know another hotel that has TTT. My school stayed there for its band trip. It's in Blue Ash, Ohio...I am pretty sure it's the holiday inn. Only I wish you more luck than what my friend & I had. When we tried to get it, it wasn't working or some weird crappy thing like that.........we wept that night
