Lines

I know there is one line I really want to see in Rotk, "I'm glad you're here with me Sam, here at the end of all things."<P>Anyone else have a line they can't live without?

Celebmornie 06-03-2003 11:29 AM

I dont have a favorite but I hope that they keep most of them! That way I have a clue whats going on!

Frodo2968thewhite 06-03-2003 12:02 PM

I love that line, but I also want the line, "well, this is the end Sam Gamgee" to be in there too. I can just see Sam standing there in awe, and Frodo just saying in his "'I'm glad you're with me' voice" that line.

Duncariel 06-03-2003 12:22 PM

How about lines that you hope AREN'T in ROTK? Such as "Praise them with great praise" I hate that line.

Liriodendron 06-03-2003 01:52 PM

Ha! Good one! I'll second that request!

the guy who be short 06-03-2003 02:26 PM

Duncariel, i third that! That line always annoys me, it the only bad thing in a perfect book! Plus, its repeated several times! <BR>How could Tolkien write that?

Lasgalen 06-03-2003 02:34 PM

I want to hear the Mouth of Sauron:<BR>'Is there any one in this rout with authority to treat with me?' he asked. 'Or indeed with wit to understand me? Not thou at least!' he mocked, turning to Aragorn with scorn. 'It needs more to make a king than a piece of elvish glass, or a rabble such as this. Why? any brigand of the hills can show as good a following!'

Gorbag to Shagrat:<P> <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:<HR> By all the signs, Captain Shagrat, I'd say there's a large warrior loose, Elf most likely, with an elf-sword anyway, and an axe as well maybe; and he's loose in your bounds, too, and you never spotted him. Very funny indeed! <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

At his coronation when Aragorn says: <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:<HR> "By the labour and valour of many I have come into my inheritance. In token of this I would have the Ring-bearer bring the crown to me, and let Mithrandir set it upon my head, if he will; for he has been the mover of all that has been accomplished, and this is his victory." <HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>I'll cry....I know I will!

ArisBoch 06-07-2003 12:29 PM

i'll second for the sauron quote. i want to see a reaction other than the cartoon movies!<BR>and i want the hobbits to keep calling aragorn 'strider'. it keeps the feeling of their innocence, and it's nice that he still doesn't mind it when he's important.

dunadan_aragorn 06-07-2003 01:11 PM

I like them calling him Strider as well. But I have to confess, I like the Rough tough Aragorn better than the Elessar Aragorn. Example: "Praise them with great praise!"

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:<HR> "The ring-Beares should go together." (said by frodo to sam,Rotk, the grey havens<HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>If this line isn't in ROTK i'm going to get angry. But I also think that they should keep most of the lines that are written in the book. But I know that it isn't possible.....

Duncariel 06-09-2003 07:39 PM

Thanks all. I think He must have hit his head, or, or something. Such a genius....
