Be honest. How many times have you.....

Watched TTT since its coming out nearly two weeks ago? I know I'm at 7 so far. Where are you guys at?

Noxomanus 09-07-2003 03:36 AM

1 time

Meela 09-07-2003 04:23 AM

About eight or nine... I haven't been counting, but it's been a lot. It's a bonus of being ill. I have a lot of free time and the tv all to myself.

dragoneyes 09-07-2003 05:41 AM

Twice.

Goldberry 09-07-2003 08:31 AM

Only once on the DVD

Elentári 09-07-2003 08:53 AM

Er none, because I don't have it!

dancing spawn of ungoliant 09-07-2003 10:13 AM

Twice. I rented it because I want to buy only the extended one but if I had ttt on dvd, I would have watced it maybe 6 or 7 times by now.

peonydeepdelver 09-07-2003 11:12 AM

I've watched it three times the whole way through on DVD, which makes it a lowly total of 6 times. But I'd have to confess that I've seen FOTR about 18 times that number...

Shy Hobbit 09-07-2003 12:14 PM

Four times since I got it, only once in the theater. I'm quite tempted to watch it over and over, but I don't wanna wear myself out on it like I've done with FotR which I lost count of viewings after 24

The Only Real Estel 09-07-2003 01:09 PM

Twice.

Horse-Maiden of the Shire 09-07-2003 01:33 PM

Four times...and three of those times were in the same day!

The Only Real Estel 09-07-2003 01:56 PM

Lol, HM. I could do that with FotR, but probably not TTT.

Rosolas 09-07-2003 04:35 PM

Twice.
That is only because I am not the only person in the house and we only have one TV and one video player, otherwise I would have watched more than twice.

Gorwingel 09-07-2003 06:15 PM

Once
I am in school now, and I also do sports. I am very short on free time right now.

Arwen Eruantale 09-07-2003 08:56 PM

Twice.

Helín Anyára 09-07-2003 10:02 PM

Once. Sniff. I've seen other pieces of it at friends houses, in addition to the *once*, but have yet to get through it again, in its entirety. I wish I could say I'd lost count...

One Axe to Rule them All 09-08-2003 10:07 AM

Around 15, the great upside of being homeschooled.

The Only Real Estel 09-08-2003 10:52 AM

quote:
Around 15, the great upside of being homeschooled.

I am homeschooled too, but I still can't bring myself to watch TTT (or even FotR) 15 times in two weeks (unless you're counting your theater viewings, which is hardly playing by the rules )!

Arwen Eruantale 09-08-2003 02:52 PM

Hear hear, Only Real Estel!
I'm homeschooled as well, but I still don't have enough time to do that. That isn't to say I wouldn't if I could, but I believe I've made my point.

Lush 09-08-2003 05:17 PM

*Lush momentarily crawls out from underneath a crushing pile of Victorian Lit reading and article deadlines*
0
*Lush crawls back into the pile*

Cinderella 09-08-2003 05:32 PM

Only once but in my heart at least a good 30 times
*pokes Lush in the pile*
I feel your pain, only I'm in a big pile of American Lit...so boring, want to drop out...
[ September 08, 2003: Message edited by: Cinderella ]

Dininziliel 09-08-2003 06:04 PM

[peeking petulantly around corner from Lush's pile]
0
But that's because I don't want to. Am waiting for extended version and can only take so much Legolas hanging ten in Helm's Deep and cartoonish slugfest as Gandalf and entourage approach a possessed Theoden. Saw it 4 times in theatre--the last 3 just to see if I could get past the parts that made me wince. I couldn't--so, call me sensitive.
To echo earlier post, I have seen extended FotR more times than I can count--maybe about 60-70 times. Even bought multi-disk DVD player for it. Am hoping RotK will give me new cause to grow more lumps from seat time.

samrohan 09-09-2003 06:08 AM

I have watched it one and a half times so far on the DVD I bought the day it came out here in the UK.
It would be much more but for the fact that my two children aged 4 and 2 are petrified by the appearance of Gollum and force me to turn it off or jump the scenes.
I also just watched the scene where PJ makes a marvellous and brave appearance in Helm's Deep. Fancy that, braving receiving an orc arrow to score a cameo appearance in the TT. Good man!!!!

Mariska Greenleaf 09-09-2003 06:45 AM

I have tried to watch it several times, but I keep falling asleep after one hour (not due to the film, but due to the late hour on which I watch it, because otherwise I don't have the time for it).
So, as it turns out, I have seen the first hour about three times!

The Only Real Estel 09-09-2003 10:05 AM

quote:
I have seen extended FotR more times than I can count--maybe about 60-70 times.

I don't want to get off topic permantly, but I did want to reply to that. I've seen it 30-40. 6o-70? Wow.

Lothíriel 09-09-2003 11:48 AM

I´ve only seen TTT once, because I don´t have enough time to watch it more often I´ll try to see it soon again.

Lady_galadriel 09-09-2003 12:00 PM

only once fully.. but i have watched parts of it over many times!!

Faenaduial 09-09-2003 02:56 PM

I rented the DVD because I was waiting to buy the extended version. Watched it once and then decided I needed to see it many more times so I went out and bought it.
I've watched it 3 times all the way through and have watched bits and pieces many more times. I especially like the preview on RotK!

Enorëiel 09-09-2003 03:01 PM

2 and a half... two times all the way through, half if you count skipping to favorite parts and such. As for FotR, I'd say I'm up there in the thirties and forties (bit of subject but what the hey!)

Maylin 09-09-2003 03:23 PM

only once, and I had to borrow it from someone. No money to buy it, im afraid

ArwenBaggins 09-09-2003 03:36 PM

I've seen tTT twice since it came to DVD, and five times it theatres. I saw FotR ten times in theatres, and at least seventeen more times since that.
-Fëa

Gilthalion 09-09-2003 03:55 PM

I have watched XFOTR many times (definitely double digits). I am sure I have read the book about twice as many times over many many years!
I have watched the TTT DVD twice through. The Mrs & I saw it four times in the theatre.
Looking forward to XTTT!

(The old fellow wonders if he can actually sit through all of the extended films, when completed.)

XFOTR, XTTT, XROTK, XHOBBIT, XLOTR, XSIL, XHOME all (X) Xopyright 2003 by Gilthalion. (Unless someone else came up with it first.)

Frodo2968thewhite 09-09-2003 03:59 PM

i'm on 17 with TTT DVD, and I saw it 7 times in theaters, and i'm in the 200's (or more) with FOTR EE DVD!

Eruwen 09-09-2003 05:57 PM

I've only seen it 3 times...once in theaters, and 2 on DVD. Man, I feel like such an unobsessed freak now.

Finnguala 09-10-2003 04:59 AM

Twice in theaters and four times at home ^^
YAY for TTT!

samrohan 09-10-2003 06:45 AM

I would like to ask those who have seen the movies more than ten times what they do for a living?
I have a full time job and children and no can't find time to watch it more than once or twice.

The Only Real Estel 09-10-2003 09:58 AM

quote:
I would like to ask those who have seen the movies more than ten times what they do for a living?
I have a full time job and children and no can't find time to watch it more than once or twice.

I'm just a kid. But I still don't really want to watch it any more than I have, I'm freaked to death I'll watch it to many times & hate it for the rest of my life.

BethoHOG 09-13-2003 03:28 PM

I've seen it 2 times all the way through on DVD, and once about half way through...

Azaelia of Willowbottom 09-13-2003 03:53 PM

Twice. I don't watch it a lot for fear of losing some of the wonder and marvel I feel while I'm watching it.

Calenamarthiel 09-14-2003 09:26 PM

Thrice, at home. Can't remember how many times I watched it in the theatre. Am anxiously waiting for the release of the extended version.
