I think Tolkien let them have pointy ears, but just didn't wrote it in the books. He didn't because in other older stories Elves had point ears, so he thought that everybody already knew |

The Easterlings are the ones at the Black Gate in TTT, and the Haradrim are the ones on the Mumakil. Easterlins have shiny armour, and the Haradrim wear combat clothes. So where were the Easterlings? |

I think that those scenes wern't enough to be the best EE for me. TTT EE just shows more things about Gimli and Legolas. And I hoped to see more of that in the TrotK EE... |
