Hmm...I don't know. I rather liked that chapter. I thought it was a great way to begin the story. Not boring at all. I loved Bilbo's B-day speech. |

I actually liked it. Mostly because I got to see my fav elf in action (too bad he had to die though). I honestly didn't mind the change. |

Well, I can't really think of that many people...but the first person that came to mind was Galadriel. For starters, she is the oldest elf who still remains in M.E. And she is very wise and her... |

I think they did a terrible job with their portrayal of Faramir. If you read the book, you'll realize that that is not him at all. As for deleted scenes, it doesn't really bother me because I know... |

My mom already had the whole trilogy, and she gave them to me and told me to read them if I wanted to. I put off reading them until I saw that they were turning the books into films. I waited a... |

I certainly was disappointed. She played quite a big role at the end of The Two Towers. Oh well, at least she'll be in the next movie. |

Hi all. I know people have mentioned it before, but I thought I'd come right out and ask:<P>I'm sure most of you have heard that David Bowie wanted to play the part of Elrond, but PJ wouldn't let him... |

The Hobbit cartoon was a great movie. I love the way they portrayed Gollum in it. That was the perfect Gollum voice. Haven't heard anything about PJ maybe making The Hobbit into a movie, but if he... |

The elves have always been my favourite. They're brave, wise, graceful, light-footed and beautiful. I like all of the races though. They all play a very important role in JRRT's books. |

Hmm, I'd better not get too deep into this topic. Anyway, I have plenty of devoutly religious friends who absolutely love LOTR. I think it's more the very exremists who are likely to disapprove of... |

What? No scouring of the Shire? But they have to include that! When Frodo looks into Galadriel's mirror, they SHOW us the whole Shire in shambles. Now they have an obligation to include it. Will it... |

From which? The movie or the books? Oh well, I'd probably have to say Helms Deep for the movie and The Siege of Gondor for the books. Can't wait to see that battle in the next movie. ... |

I'd have to say Arwen. First off, she is an elf so she should be more beautiful. Eowyn reminds me of a young girl and I don't take well to that. Arwen has more of a brave, warrior trait to her. |

I would be an elven warrior and travel all of Middle Earth, though my native home would be Imladris. I would have a dirk, two elven swords and a bow. I would keep the name I go by at this forum. |

Hi all. I know that when elves are born, they have this period of time called their "mortal" years when they age more at the rate of a human then stop aging all together. Do they still age a little... |

I started a thread very similar to this question. The first time I saw it in the theatres, the people were like "What the heck??" and there were a lot of surprised remarks. |

The Silmarillion. With the technology they have today, I think it would be an incredible movie. |

Nah, I wouldn't really care to see a LOTR series. Though I wish that P.J. would turn Tolkien's book The Silmarillion into a movie. That would be the greatest. |

Anyone notice that part when the Mark are riding down on the Warg-riding-Orcs, and Legolas grabs a hold of that horse's bridle and swings onto the back of the horse? At first, I thought, "Whoah, what... |
