I was new once, and I was excitedly anticipating the release of a movie called "Fellowship Of The Ring". I hadn't read the books, I knew nothing of the background or movie except that a cute guy called Orlando was playing the elf Legolas. But I came here, stayed here, and learned an awful lot. I may not be an interesting member, nor do I contribute anything worthwhile, but I show that this place can contribute a lot to a person's learning of Tolkien.
