Re: MUSH

You will need a terminal program (MUSHclient is the one that I use) that will enable you to communicate with the MUSH. With it, you will use the server information that the Barrow-Wight will give the developers/visitors.

MUSHclient is produced by: http://www.gammon.com.auGammon Software Solutions</a>. It is free.

You can also use it to reach other MUSH servers that are running games.

I'm no computer expert myself, and it does take a little time to learn some of the commands for moving around and doing things. But it is a lot of fun! When it is up (it isn't right now) there are usually a couple of people around who can help.

Building roads and bridges and castles and hobbit holes and rooms and mountains and waterfalls (etc.) takes work and knowledge of a few basic commands which do not require a rocket scientist to master. Building a weather system almost does, but we have BW for that! Building your own house, or ruined tower, etc. is somewhat easier.

For those really interested in building, the PENNMUSH program (free) can run on your own computer (without even getting on the internet) and then you use MUSHclient to access it. You can practice building your own little text world with it offline.
