The strange reason is that you are using geocities. Geocities is the internet ghetto. You can still use geocities, but it is best if you put the picture onto a page. A good no nonsense example is:

<pre><html><img src="http://www.somecrap.com/ITSME.jpg"></html></pre>

BW, you might want to put a similar tip into the first post.
