What about his rousing rendition of the "Man in the Moon" verse in the Prancing Pony? It had the entire bar going! And then the denouement of disappearing right in front of everyone! I think "book Frodo" definitely has a chance, if they catch him before that darned Quest! He has the right combination of eccentricity, affability and downright unpredictability.
