You know, on the ROLOZO Tolkien images archive at The One Ring.net some time back, I saw a study of Maedhros' hypothetical mechanical hand/arm. It was weird! And as for Beren, I always imagine Thingol opening up Carcharoth and digging around, extracting Beren's hand holding the Silmaril, taking the jewel, and then handing the hand back to Beren: "I believe this is yours..." Ack! [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img]
And I don't know about anyone else, but I think it would be VERY difficult to see anything ahead of me if I had a Silmaril bound to my brow (ah, the glare!), like Earendil did! Maybe a good pair of shades would fix this! [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]
