I know! I'm sort of ashamed that Ididn't even like LotR untill after seeing FotR in theaters. I really became a fan by the time I was part way through reading it.

I know two girls who haven't even finished LotR who say it's a bad book. One of them is nice, so I'm trying to convert her into a LotR fan, but I think the other one is a lost cause (she's a total HP obsessee- and to think that she was one of my best friends)
