aaaaaah..... a silly thread involving the height and stature of dwarfs, not as "something completely different" as you might think. Though I think that Gimli could not have been slower than any of the others for the simple reason that he probably wouldn't have been sent on the quest if he could not "keep up" with the elf and men.
