When I recieved that picture from a local leftwing mailinglist, not for one moment did I think GWB being Tom Bombadil, I assure you. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Not to mention few little things like being bent on world domination and commanding the worlds greatest army, he's wisible and so is the writing.

After seeing the picture It took me some five minutes to stop laughing and then I proceeded to write a three page rework of the plot and casting of the LOTR to correspond to this and send it as reply.

Finland of course was shire, as we are a happy nation of minor beings oft forgotten in the greater things. US cabinet was the nine nazgul and Rumsfeld was beating down the doors of shire as the witch king.

I nominated some of us local leftist youth as the four hobbits, and so on, including a young radical-conservative in the role of gollum and some more well known people of the world in other roles. I for one think Fidel Castro has enough age and beard to be gandalf if he just changed the cigar for a pipe, Reliable sources tell that Jasser Arafat is shorty and has also a beard making him... nevermind.
