I think that is war.
Kind of the same as a finnish poem about our civil war three generations ago. Rough translation (as I think it went) would be something like:
"In a great square, in front of his troop
Long live liberty, shouted a man.
By his ditch, behind the woods
eyes covered by dirty rag or linen
Long live liberty, shouted a man.
Under the banners, with great dedication
Ended his speech, long live liberty, another man"
