The morning found Mr. Bracegirdle by the main door handing out steaming breakfast plates to the security guards. “Got to keep you boys well fed so you can keep a sharp lookout!” The press members gathered looking hopefully at him, but Mr. Bracegirdle only scowled “Be off with you aleady! You carrion crows!”
A low rumbling was heard shortly, and the sound of horse hooves. The orcs reluctantly abandoned their breakfast to investigate. A team of large draft horses were seen coming up the hill with a man walking along side of them. As the horses drew closer it became apparent that they were towing a very large wooden rabbit behind them (and a hastily constructed one at that).
The orcs approached the man and asked what this was all about. “I’ve been told that I’m to deliver this here present to this address. A hobbit lady said that someone would be here to receive it for her.”
“Oh, that would be me then, wouldn’t it?” exclaimed Mr. Bracegirdle. “Seems my Hilde and her friends back home banded together to get a present the Barrow-Wight, this being such a special anniversary.”
This caused a commotion among the guards, with much heated debate. Mr. Bracegirdle waited patiently and listened closely. After some time it was decided that the ” present” would be allowed if it could fit though the metal detector….
Inside Mrs. Bracegirdle was visible agitated. She was pacing up and down singing quietly to herself.
Should I stay or should I go now?
Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go there will be trouble
An' if I stay it will be double
So come on and let me know
Should I stay or should I go now?
Beware of hobbits bearing gifts!
