That's
IF said Easterlings decide to beat her up a bit more. Don't be too masochistic, Nuhrive. After all, she is eventually going to be sold as a (some kind of) slave, and shouldn't be too beaten if it can be helped. The men would rather she walked than had to be carried, as well. I don't think another escape is an option either, the guard on her has been increased since last time. Think the Three Hunters after Merry and Pippin - she will not escape again unless the elves can contrive it.

She escapes, finds the elves and leads them to the easterlings.

This would make the prime motive for the elves' attack that of revenge. Unless you've got Fëanor or Ëol in there somewhere, that wouldn't be ultra-likely.
I think the elves (and Garen) could use the horses to their advantage best by skirting around the forest, over open ground. Mirkwood is pretty dense after all, and the men may be slowing down considerably. The men are heading east and will be leaving Mirkwood at its eastern edge. Maybe Aníram can track them from a distance - this would certainly foil their plan to throw the elves off by entering Mirkwood.
If this plan sounds okay, maybe one of the elves (Jemel, perhaps?) can post something to that effect, and then I'll post straight after.
