Babylon 5

I've never seen Babylon 5, but I always assumed it to be a Star Trek clone. Judging by what I've seen of Star Trek (two movies and a really old episode at 5 in the morning) I can't see any similarities. Then again that opinion doesn't matter because I haven't seen the show in question. Which begs the question why I am posting. Still, I never thought a new age sci-fi Star Trek clone like B5 would hold any similarities with a fantasy/mythology type world like Tolkien's. Still, I am probably wrong.
