The small group had been wandering for some hours in almost silence. At the start, Faryn had tried to make a few attempts at conversation, but had given up when they were greeted by continuing sullen silence. The atmosphere would have caused a star to commit suicide.
Tallin of course didnt have to speak aloud to have a threeway conversation. Currently however, it was grating on her nerves and even on Jets as Dia pressed on with just how she was going to deal with Raye.
"No one takes a shot at Obsidian Lunalupus and gets away with it. Mind you, that sword wasnt great, but it still took at chunk out of my side-"
"Dia, you have a shallow cut."
"AND shes now riding high and mighty on that horse. Look at her, looking down at us, who does she think she is! Jet, Ill bet you, or Tallin, two rabbits that I could rip out her throat at ten paces? Huh, come on-"
"Obsidian, Id really rather you didnt." Tallin mind said wearily. The female wolf glared at her. "Oh I see, youre on her side are you now Tallin? Well-"
"Shh." Tallin spoke suddenly and aloud, surprising the others in the group as she held up her hand, as they of course didnt see anything to say 'shhh' about. They stopped and now the hooves werent making noise, they could hear what the wolfsoul had heard; angry elves voices, arguing heatedly, although it sounded decidedly like the male elf would prefer this arguement not to be happening. As Tallin dismounted, the voices became more subdued and friendly. When a shout came from somewhere near the first voices, all of the group jumped- it shouted a name; Berethion was it?
After a moment, said Berethion emerged from a rather well hidden small house. The tall rather handsome elf was obviously deep in his thoughts as he walked quickly towards the source of the call, when Tallin coughed politely. He looked up in surprise and then jumped back as Raye drew her sword. Tallin closed her eyes and counted to ten under her breath before refining her anger to a glare at the rogue. The woman stopped and had to grace to look slightly embarrased, if only for a moment before her arrogance returned and she glared back. Ignoring this, Tallin turned back, seeing another elf come out of the house, a beautiful woman. Tallin exchanged a glance with Belle before stepping forward.
"Good day friends." She found from experience that it was a good exercise when accompanied by two large black wolves to start with friends and sometimes 'We wont kill you, really.' "We are travellers through the forest."
"What are your names and from and to whence to you go?" the woman asked but not in an unfriendly way, especially considering the fact that still had her hand on her sword. The mans vague face, whicyh had looked like it was trying to remember however, split into a smile and Tallin returned this.
"Long time no see Berethion." She said quietly, smiling slightly.
"Wolfsoul." He nodded back, also smiling. As her smile grew, Tallin walked forward, shaking the elfs hand heartily, both of them beaming as old friends.
