"Not at all" replied the Elf. "Are you ok?"
Nervous, Ellie just nodded.
"Here" she said, passing Ellie a cup of strong smelling coffee. "Always makes me feel better, you know, The medicine Woman in Minas Tirith makes the best coffee"
"Thank you" whispered Ellie shyly, with a small smile. There was a pause. She seems nice thought Ellie and she must have had a really exciting life. Not like me. She sighed wistfully.
"What's Minas Tirith like?" asked Ellie curiously, but the Elf merely smiled.
"Hold that thought"
She just left! She ignored me! Ellie fumed quietly. There's no reason for an Elf to be interested in a Hobbit, to be sure, but why talk if she didn't want a response?
She sighed again, and took a sip of coffee. For the second time Ellie began to choke, but less violently than before. With a few coughs she felt better.
Hmm- not bad! she thought, and took another sip.
