Morwyn listened to Annalalaith's tale too, her laughter rising to the surface again as she pictured the elf and her father dissolving into giggles together.
"The elvish languages are lovely." she said with a smile. "My mother was from Gondor, her name was Finduinan, which means long flowing hair." She smiled fondly at the memory of her mother, whose lovely hair she had not inherited.
"Where is your mother now?" asked Annalalaith. Nahai winced at the question, but Morwyn was unfazed. "She died. She wasn't a young woman when I was born. She died when I was a teenager." Annalalaith looked sober. Morwyn briefly wondered what the elves thought of mortality, but the thought was passing.
"Come now!" she scolded the elf, "our 'Gift-of-Laughter' can't be sad..." She tipped her head to the side and smiled at Annalalaith, whose eyes twinkled mischievously.
Nahai looked between the two of them, a grin spreading over her face. Morwyn glanced up at her, her grin becoming wicked. "Anyone feel like mischief tonight?"
