Hamfast was on his drinking record. 23 nonstop. If Buttercup hadn't stopped him, he'd probably be dead. The thought of his dinner with Ruby felt like swimming through a lake of needles. Still, Hamfast moved on.
Trying to take his mind off of Ruby, Hamfast mingled with some of the Inn folk. After boring himself to death, Hamfast deceided to listen to the tales of men and elves being unfolded in the Inn.
The thought of Ruby Brown's secret was starting to get to him. Did she really have a secret, or was Aman just doing her a favor by getting her out of the date.
Time pased and by now the question drove him mad, so Hamfast walked up to Aman and said, "Ma'am? If I may ask...why did Ruby have to leave dinner? We...uh...were kinda in the middle of something."
"Oh...well...i don't think Ruby would want you to know! Put don't worry, she wasn't bailing on you. She fances you, you know. She told me so. Don't worry your little hobbit head about it! Just take a rest!" Aman said in a soft voice.
Giving in to the power, Hamfast went up to his room, got undressed, and fell asleep. He knew he would dream about the subject for a while, but still he didn't want to think concicously.
