“Ah hi again,” Niluial said shyly, a faltering smile upon her face.

Iris glanced up at her and the smile vanished. She looked at the black haired woman before her, her kind eyes, her flushed cheeks, yet she looked nervous and anxious. She flashed a half smile her, but then turned to her soup.

“Iris, have you seen Silma?” she asked cautiously, her eyebrows raised. Why did everybody think that people just knew what they were talking about?

Dropping the spoon with surprise, Iris glared up at her and said tightly, “Who is Silma?”

Romenna leaned over and whispered, “It’s her cat.”

“Oh.” What person in their right minds would bring a pet into an Inn? She scowled and rolled her eyes, before folding her arms and glaring into the table.

There was a silence before a black cat, with a trill of meow, leaped to the table and rubbed her face against Niluial’s stomach. Silma, Iris supposed. She vaguely heard Romenna ask Niluial to join them for a bit to eat. So now not only did she have to talk with Romenna, who wouldn’t be too bad to talk to, Iris grudgingly admitted, but she had to also talk to Niluial.
