Findorak watched Jerika's scuffle with the elf and followed her as she stormed away from the cave and out into the darkness. As they came to a lonely spot on the hillside he called to her, "Jerika!"
She spun round, sword in hand but he made a sign of peace and she lowered it.
"My dear, I was merely concerned," he began, "I worry for your safety, as competant as you are. Handorth is crafty, and he lusts for you, it is plain to see. He wants you for your body and nothing more. Why he cannot see your skill, I do not know."
He stepped closer and smiled at the women.
"I offer secret alliance, if we stay together we may look out for one another."
Jerika looked uncertainly at him.
"I swear on my father that this is not a trick to gain your favour," Findorak continued. "This cave is becoming dangerous and we all need allies. Handorth is powerful, but he yearns for too much power. Join with me, secretly, and we can stay alive!"
He awaited the easterlings reply.
