Lyra Greenleaf has just left Hobbiton.
Silmaril

"No need to go all the way to the cave Master-"

Telpeheled nearly jumped with surprise at the sound of Bordarigorn's voice. Concentrating so hard on talking to this man he had almost forgotten the other Elves. Somehow it broke the atmosphere. The two Easterlings began to walk away. Telpeheled was disappointed. But I suppose it was never likely to happen. The best we could have hoped for was to seperate without death. He sighed and turned unhappily to Bordarigorn who was giving out bandages.

Telpeheled was filled with frustration that it had to end so abruptly, after everything that had happened.

No! he finally decided No, I'm not giving up on it yet.
He turned as he thought and walked purposefully away towards the Easterlings.
Catching sight of them walking slowly towards the cave he called out to them.
"I did not say thank you for your offer"
The two turned and he ran over.
"So, thank you. And thank you for showing me that there are two sides to every tale- we do not have the right of it always! And finally...good luck" he murmured softly
He hesitated for a minute, eyes locked firmly on the ground, then put his hand on Kanes shoulder and walked off.

Returning to the Elves he plumped down on the floor next to Maeralagos.
"How goes it, my friend?" he asked wearily. "I have to thank you too- thank you for looking out for me and thank you for trying."
He sighed again and leaned back against the grass.
"I think I've decided" he began, half to himself "fighting is not for me. Not now, for I will always think of the life I am cutting short, rather than the life I am saving."

Bordarigorn interrupted any speech, raising his voice as he spoke to Anuion and reminding everybody that their mission was not yet finished.
"But we have something else to do right now. We are already late and cannot afford the survivors to reach the cave. I just hope that the survivors are Easterling and not Elfish."
Telpeheled reacted angrily to Bordarigorn's speech.
"What about Durelin? Are we going to leave him here?" he said with hostility, for he did not wish to be told that there would be more fighting.
It seems he is forgotten already. Just another casualty of war.
"Yes we are. But not for long. When we are done in the west, we shall head back to Durelin and take him back to Calas Galadhon."
Ready for action, yet again thought Telpeheled wearily.
