“We’ll get them Oscar, you and me, we’ll make them pay!” 14 years of working hard and socialising little, had brought about her habit of talking to her dog. She was so glad he had been healed. Unsurprisingly her herd was the main reason for joining the fight against the wolves. Her love for Oscar was the one that pushed her into facing the reality of the wolf raids they weren’t going away. The reason for which she swore “They’ll pay Oscar, I’ll make them pay!”
Meggan walked to the inn, to find out if there had been any other attacks that day. After hearing of the strike on the Torrac farm she was even more convinced that these wolves had to be eradicated and that she must join the fight.
She was busy convincing others to support the fight, when the kind man who had helped heal Oscar came in. “Please sir, have an ale in thanks for your kindly services earlier today.’ ‘Two ales Butterbur’ ‘Are you here to help in the conflict with the wolves?” she inquired, amazing herself by starting a conversation.
