Hehe! I saw an interview by Jonathan Ross with Sean Astin and Andy Serkis on the premier of the RotK film, when Andy Serkis described the "Tolkien purists" who were up in arms at some of the "liberties" taken by the films as the
Tolkienista . I thought it was rather a good label myself.
On that basis, of course, I would not describe myself as one of the Tolkienista. And I certainly don't have sufficient in-depth knowledge to pass myself off as a Tolkienologist. A more moderate and less knowledgeable Tolkienite, perhaps.
