Actually i think that in the movie they had ment to show Boromir and his relationship with Merry and Pippin. one reason is what Gandalf had said in TTT, Chapter The White Rider:<BR>"...It was not in vain that the young hobbits came with us, if only for Boromir's sake..."<P>If Boromir had not had a close relationship with Merry and Pippin and had only cared about Frodo and The Ring, he wouldn't have risked his life to save them from the Orcs. <BR>~LadyElbereth
