That does not mean most people prefer those posts which hardly contain more than one sentence (if it is an actual sentence at all, not just a one-word-reply).
Being a fast and prolific poster is a quality. Sacrificing content for number of posts, well, is a totally different thing.
As Barrow-Wight put it: a post should always be longer than your sig. That's not a rule, it's a matter of politeness (as is the prudent use of the word 'hate', for that matter).
