Edit: Actuallly, scrub that. Having looked at the series of maps in David Day's Illustrated Encyclopedia (which may or may not be reliable), the Burnt Lands of the Sun became the Sunlands, which then became North and South America. Another continent, called the Dark Lands, seems mysteriously to have appeared in the Fourth Age which looks like it became either Australasia or Antarctica.
