I strongly suggest you watch Gandalf the Gay (*ahem*, sorry) make a pass at Brendon Fraser in the brilliant <I>Of Gods and Monsters</I>. It will hopefully make you take the actors a bit less seriously. For all of his brilliant acting ability in LOTR, Ian McKellen is still Ian McKellen and not Gandalf. Hopefully he doesn't fall victim to Alec Guinness Syndrome, where despite a long and distinguished career he is known by 90% of moviegoers as one character.
