Their hairlines were just different. Lower? I couldn't put my finger on it.<BR>3) That had to be a perspective thing, because Sam and Frodo would both have been visible otherwise. I prefer to believe they were just out of frame, around the corner. Either way the guards at the Black Gate should have seen them, otherwise why even keep guards there.
