I agree it could have been worse (the corruption of LotR), and I too am thankful that they were fans; but I don't necessarily agree with all of their decisions. <P>Everything doesn't have to be about introducing characters...what about introducing the Elven race? A race that was capable of getting Frodo out of trouble in a hurry, healing him, and then securing him in Imladris. And as for the film "flowing", Glorfindel flew like hell to the Ford.
