Check <A HREF="http://www.elvish.org/gwaith/movie_elvish.htm#gimli" TARGET=_blank>this</A> out, that's a list of the Elvish/Black Speech/Dwarwish and so forth spoken in the movie. Gimli's remark means nothing, according to this list. And you're right, Manwë, Aragorn could never have known! That is a stupid move from PJ!
