I thought it was mildly funny (It's Dave Berry!). His 'apoligies' never mean anything, though (It's Dave Berry!). His articles are actually pretty funny, I read them every Sunday, and for him to make fun of LOTR doesn't ofend me. If Tolkien fans really wrote in with those words, I'm more mad at Tolkien fans than at Dave Berry, they're makeing the rest of us look dumb!
