I live in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. In the fall before Fellowship was released, a brilliant local boy was dieing of a rare form of childhood lukemia and was a huge Lord of the Rings fan. It was worried that he wouldn't be able to make it to the premier date. His father wrote Peter Jackson and New Line and they agreed to show Fellowship more than a week before it's world-wide premier in Peterborough for James, his family and about 100 guests. James died a few weeks later.<P>Last fall they again showed Two Towers more than a week early, charging $100 a ticket with the money going to fight the disease.
