Maybe I should explain. I don't think Aragorn looks into the palantir until Minas Tirith. I don't think they'll play up the whole distracting the Eye from Frodo until after Pelennor Fields. After the battle Aragorn challenges Sauron through the palantir and then assembles the Host of the West to march to the black gates. It more directly connects cause and effect for the film audience.
