My friend was giving me weird looks...and then Shelob stang him and I laughed. (Blood lust of a sort...poison lust? Fresh meat lust? Ok, no... )<P>And Frodo's helmet was rather comical...was it in the books? I made an especial effort not to read it before I saw the film so I wouldn't be sitting there going 'that was in the book!', 'that wasn't!' though I ended up doing that anyway- but only in jest.
