I think that what you are looking for is located in the "Minas Tirith" chapter of RotK. Pippin and Bergil go down to the main gates of the city and watch the companies of the allies of Gondor march into the city. This does not include Faramir, since he enters later pursued by the Ringwraiths. However, since PJ totally left out all of the other allies, you could very well be right in guessing that the lad was Bergil and that there will be more on the EE.
