-when you name all of your cats' kittens LotR names: Merry, Pippin, Aredhel (the grey and white girl), Morwen (the black girl), Mel (short for mellryn), and Morag (well, that one wasn't LotR, my mommy named that one.)
-when you have two sets of elf ears.
-when you feel the need to pet any copy of LotR you see in Wal-Mart.
-when you wonder about the genetic probably of Arwen having ebony hair with a grandmother who is blonde.
-when you understand this:

We don't know if there really was a road. It might have been metaphorical, Tolkien wasn't really clear.
