I think worrying about people who don't like Tolkien nor Peter Jackson is a waste. You can't dictate what they think and how they express it. Frankly, I've heard worse insults hurled at the books and movies, by people far more clever and important. I used to get all insulted and defensive and pouty, now I just stick my togue out at them and move on.
