Here is what i am planning for the death of bear guys, hope it fits in:
Bear survives the initial attack and is able to limp home; finding that kestrel and her kids are gone, and the fact that many hillmen are dead, he rushes back to the settlement.
Espyed from afar, he is shot and key characters (Carrun... and fellow rangers?) go out to his body...
perhaps the rangers are patrolling the wall? Bear tries to rush their defences and is killed.
Give me a hoy guys!!
