Talking about falling apart books...
My mom has a copy of LOTR, all the books into one,it has been read by me, my mom and my brother although I read that version several times and I am amazed that it hasn't fallen apart yet. However the spine is very cracked you can't even read the title:The Lord of the Rings anymore.
I confess I was also reminded of the black riders when I saw the dementors.
