Falowik and Uien
Uien had led Falowik into the kitchen. Cook had returned, and Derufin as well. Uien looked at Derufin with a smile on her face, but he did not seem to see her. He has been away and busy, and has forgotten me; it has been a long time. Her heart did not believe her words, though. She turned to Falowik.
"Let us leave them to their reacquaintance, Lauréatan. Maybe later tonight we can reintroduce ourselves to Derufin."
Falowik tilted his head and narrowed his eyes, for he was surprised at Uien's action. It was as if seeing Derufin had brought her back to how she had been last summer, for she had told him the story of being at wit's end, affrighted at the least circumstances in a day, trusting no one, not even herself, and then Derufin had shown kindness; and now he did not see her.
"Come, fair one, my love, let's sit with Eodwine and the others and take our rest."
"Aye." He took her hand, entwining his fingers in hers, and led her around the bar, past the tables, to the place where Eodwine, Finëwen and the hobbits sat, still drinking ales, seeming quite slack in the mouth; even Finëwen.
