Regarding kilts, isn't it logical to just wrap yourself in cloth rather than waste time bothering to stitch
legs into it? Back in the day, Scots folk were too busy fighting the Vikings/English and catching wild animals for supper to busy themselves with fine clothing. Plus, it's an established fact that Scotsmen have wonderful legs.
