Here is a writing of John Donne, it's called "Meditation 17." Donne was a writer back in the 1600's, and as you can see he wrote several "meditations." Here is one that sticks out to me, for it seems to hold a key "moral" of Tolkiens.

There is a link to the story. It deals a lot with, even though we are all different, we are still one whole, or one body, we are all connected. When one person dies, or one person is "baptized" it affects us all. This is one of Tolkien's morals of LOTR, a key example is the fellowship. We have 2 men, 1 istari, 1 dwarf, 1 elf, 4 hobbits coming together to solve a problem. They all are very different, but they all share ATLEAST one thing, that is, to destroy the ring. Your thoughts? Agree? Disagree? any other examples?
