Ah, this is a hard one. But, I'll give it a try....
All time favorite: Faramir (book), he is strong, and he just... just reminds me a lot of myself. I find myself mostly like him.

Elf: Galadriel, mystic, but so cool. I also like Lórien else in general when it comes to elves.
Hobbit: Pippin, aaww, foolsih Pippin
Dwarf: Gimli, not much to say.
Wizard: Gandalf, wise and mystic
Bad Guy: Uglúk
Other: Gollum, cool creature
