First quibble: That isn't in the Houses of Healing; it's in Eowyn's room in Edoras. If you look behind them, the architecture is definitely Rohirric, not Gondorean.
Second quibble: I completely agree. Not only that, he's a very verbose airhead.
Length of Movie: 250 minutes; or 4 hours and 10 minutes. That means the new scenes amount to approximately 50 minutes total. *green* And, as
AbercrombieOfRohan said, the appendices are about 20 hours. w00t.
Essex, I agree with you on that. That was one of my favourite little scenes in the books. I'm glad PJ&Co. put it back in. ^_^
